Cookie Policy

What we store in your browser, why we store it, and how to control Analytics and Sponsored content separately.

1. About Cookies and Browser Storage

Cookies are small text values that a website can ask a browser to retain. Local and session storage are similar browser features. GambleDude uses essential storage for privacy choices and requested features. Analytics and Sponsored content remain off until you choose to enable the relevant category.

2. Essential and Functional Storage

These items record a privacy choice, support a feature you request, or secure the restricted administration area. They do not load optional analytics or advertising.

Essential and functional browser storage items
ItemPurposeDuration
gd_consent_preferencesCookie copy of the separate Analytics and Sponsored-content choices1 year
gd_consent_noticeRecords which privacy-notice version the saved choices apply to, so a material update can request a fresh choice1 year
gd_consent_preferences_v2Local-storage record of the choices, notice version, and when the current choice was madeUntil changed or cleared

gd_rated_*Remembers a casino rating submitted from this browserUntil cleared
gd_admin_access, gd_admin_refreshRestricted staff sign-in session; not used for public visitorsSession-dependent, up to 7 days

3. Analytics

If you enable Analytics, the site loads Google Analytics 4 and, on URLs without query parameters, Ahrefs Web Analytics. It also enables our first-party page-view and affiliate-click measurement. Analytics is not enabled by the Sponsored-content choice.

Analytics browser storage items
Item or providerPurposeDuration
_ga, _ga_*Google Analytics visitor and session measurementUp to 2 years, subject to provider configuration
gd_seenDistinguishes a returning browser in first-party analyticsUntil Analytics is withdrawn or storage is cleared
gd_utmsStores short, scrubbed campaign labels for the current visitBrowser session
Ahrefs Web AnalyticsProvider script loaded only after Analytics consentProvider-controlled; our integration creates no Ahrefs cookie directly

Query strings are removed from the page locations and referrers that our code sends to Google Analytics and our first-party page-view store. Marketing labels are length-limited and rejected when they resemble contact information.

4. Sponsored Content

Some pages contain a labelled A-ADS slot. If you enable Sponsored content, the slot's third-party iframe receives its A-ADS URL and your browser connects to that provider. Our code does not set a first-party advertising cookie. A-ADS may process request data or use browser technologies under its own policy. If this category is off, the iframe has no network URL and no A-ADS request is made by the slot.

Read the AADS Privacy Policybefore enabling this category if you want more detail about its processing.

5. Making and Changing a Choice

The privacy panel offers three actions: reject both optional categories, save a custom combination, or accept both. Until a choice is saved, both optional categories are off. The Privacy settings button remains available at the bottom of every public page so you can change either category later.

Withdrawing Analytics clears accessible Google Analytics cookies and the related local and session values. If analytics code has already loaded, the page reloads to stop that code from remaining active. Withdrawing Sponsored content removes the A-ADS frame URL. A previous choice from the older bundled panel is migrated to the same equivalent choice for both categories; it is not broadened.

6. Browser Controls

You can also inspect, block, or delete cookies and browser storage through your browser. Clearing the saved preference makes the privacy panel appear again with optional services off. Blocking essential storage may prevent the site from remembering your choice or a rating you submitted.

7. Updates and Questions

We may update this policy when our browser storage or providers change. The date above shows the latest revision. For questions, use our contact page. You can also read our Privacy Policy andTerms of Use.
