Major 2025-2026 structural events

The PokerStars operational situation has changed meaningfully over the past 18 months. Players considering depositing or rejoining should understand the current state.

April 2026 US standalone platforms discontinued. PokerStars NJ, PA, MI, and Ontario standalone real-money platforms were shut down. Operations migrated to FanDuel under the new branding "PokerStars Exclusively on FanDuel." Old US PokerStars accounts remained accessible until April 30, 2026 for balance withdrawals. The Sunday Million continues to feature two tournaments running on the same day with combined $1 million in guarantees ($100 buy-in $500k guarantee plus $1,000 buy-in $500k guarantee). The PokerStars by FanDuel Ignite Series in US states features 88 events with buy-ins ranging from $25 to $1,500.

Rake structure. Weighted contributed method with no flop, no drop principle. Rates: 3.5% at lowest stakes, 5% at medium stakes, 4.5% above $5/$10 games. These rates are standard for the industry and player-friendly relative to some smaller poker rooms.
